During his extensive development tour of Marigat Ward, Baringo County Governor Benjamin Cheboi spearheaded a series of transformative initiatives aimed at bolstering food security, improving infrastructure, and empowering local residents. The tour began with a critical intervention at the Ngenyin Irrigation Scheme in Ewalel Soi, which has recently faced significant production hurdles due to a damaged water intake. Recognizing the impact on the 300-hectare scheme, the Governor conducted a site inspection and directed the departments of Public Works, Irrigation, and Water to urgently commence repair works, ensuring that local farmers can soon return to full productivity.

The focus on water access extended to domestic needs with the commissioning of the Emmarich Community Borehole. This project marks a major milestone for a community that has historically endured severe water scarcity and long treks to find clean sources. By providing safe water within a 500-meter radius, the initiative is set to drastically improve local livelihoods and health standards. Alongside these water projects, Governor Cheboi inspected the ongoing construction of the 12.9 km EmmarichBarsemoiBarkibi Road. This vital link is expected to become a cornerstone of regional growth, facilitating the seamless movement of goods and people once completed.

The tour culminated at the Koriema Trading Centrea popular transit hub famous for its "nyama choma"where the Governor officially issued allotment letters to 272 plot owners. This follows a comprehensive cadastral survey by the Department of Lands, with formal lease documents expected in the coming months. Beyond securing land rights, the initiative integrates essential infrastructure like roads and sewer systems to transform the centre into a prime investment destination. Governor Cheboi concluded by urging the beneficiaries to hold onto their property, encouraging them to leverage their new titles to secure development loans and build a thriving business environment for the entire region.
