The process of installing a 200l/Min capacity Pressure Swing Adsorption(PSA) Oxygen plant in Chemolingot Sub County Hospital has officially started, with the handing over of the construction site by the County Department of HealthServices to the contractor.
The site handing over was overseen by the County Director of Medical Services Dr. Joseph Kangor who was flanked by facility's Medical Superintendent, a board representative together with a team from the County Works office. The exercise was witnessed by MoHs Richard Gatukui as well as officials and representatives of Amref Health Africa who are the implementing partner.
The Chemolingot Sub County Oxygen plant is one of the two installations that will be implemented in Baringo County, with the other one set to benefit Kabartonjo Sub County Hospital. The twin projects will be done at a cumulative cost of Shs 60Million.
The developments, which aim at enhancing the ability of the facilities to provide high-quality, reliable, and timely medical care and enhance operational efficiency, is funded by the Global Fund and will be executed in signature partnership between the County Government, the Ministry of Health and Amref Health Africa.
