Baringo is at an advanced stage of activating Primary Care Networks (PCN) within the County. The PCN approach leverages on the synergy of facilities within a given area, working together along with other healthcare providers and organizations, to deliver coordinated, proactive, and personalized care to their local population.

The CECM Health Dr. Solomon Sirma yesterday said his department is committed to fully supporting the establishment and implementation of PCN as a way to improve health outcomes, enhance patient experiences especially in referral cases, and optimize the use of healthcare resources.
He appreciated UNICEF Kenya and USAID Kenya Tujenge Jamii for their support in establishing PCN in Baringo, as well as Dandelion Africa for their partnership in training CHPs on e-CHIS
Dr. Sirma was addressing health officials during the dissemination of the Baseline Primary Care Network Report to Baringo North Sub County Health Management Team and facility in-charges as part of finalizing preparations to roll out primary health care services to Level 2 and Level 3 facilities in the Sub County.
The County Primary Health Care Coordinator Mrs. Roselyn Leiro assured the CEC that the process of implementation of PCN was going on well and expressed optimism that all challenges that may arise in the process of implementation of PCN in Baringo will be addressed.
So far, Mrs Leiro revealed, PCN has been established within 5 Sub Counties with the two remaining will be set up within the month of June 2024.
