Dutiesand Responsibilities

i. Environmental Health risks

ii. Implementing promotive andpreventive health programs

iii. Monitoring and evaluatingcompliance to urban and rural sanitation standards in dwellings, commercialpremises and work places

iv. Monitoring and evaluating themanagement of solid/liquid and other hazardous wastes

v. Promoting hygiene educationincluding school health programmes

vi. Educating the Public on Health andsafety at the work place

vii. Coordinating Community Basedprogrammes

viii. Carrying out surveillance onEnvironmental health pollutants and advising on prevention and control ofdisease incidents and outbreaks

ix. Liaising with other stakeholdersin carrying out disaster preparedness and response

x. Compiling research reports onpublic health

xi. Compiling and analyzing publichealth data reports

xii. Promoting modern information andcommunication technology in the provision of public health services

Requirementsfor appointment

i. Diploma in Public Health from arecognized Institution

ii. One (1) year work experience

iii. Certificate in ComputerApplication
