Background information of the department
The Department of devolution, public service and administration, ICT and E-Government comprises of office of the Governor General Administration, Office of the Deputy Governor, County Secretary, Civic Education, Communication and Disaster risk management, ICT. The overall mandate of the department is to provide leadership in the county’s governance, ICT and development.

The Department has the following mandate:
To ensure effective coordination and management of the County Development Agenda
To provide leadership in the county’s governance and development
To promote public policy formulation and implementation
To mitigate and ensure preparedness against disasters in the county
Ensure provision of adequate and reliable information systems in the County Government
