About The ICT and E-Government Directorate
This directorate exists for the specific objectives of formulating and implementing ICT policy and legal frameworks, as well as establishing ICT infrastructure and promoting digital literacy and capacity for sustainable development. It is responsible for the provision of ICT infrastructure, development of County digital communications capacity and infrastructure; provision of Enterprise Re-engineering Process (ERP) solutions and general ICT technical support to County government departments.
The directorate also provides advisory services on acquisition of ICT and telecommunication services and equipment to departments; it spearheads the establishment of ICT centers and innovation hubs.
In his inaugural address to the County Assembly, Governor Benjamin Cheboi pledged to prioritize technology in the delivery of services, saying that the County Government appreciates the role of digital platforms in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs and in ensuring that more people are reached, in a shorter time.
