The process of installing Baringo Countys second 200l/Min capacity Pressure Swing Adsorption(PSA) Oxygen plant in Kabartonjo Sub County Hospital has officially started, with the handing over of the construction site by the County Department of Health Services to the contractor.
The site handing over was overseen by the County Biomedical Engineer Andrew Yatich who was flanked by facility's Medical Superintendent, the facility Board Chair together with a team from the County Works office. The exercise was witnessed by MoHs Richard Gatukui as well as officials and representatives of Amref Health Africa who are the implementing partner.
The Kabartonjo Sub County Oxygen plant is the second of the two installations that will be implemented in Baringo County, with the other one whose site was handed over earlier set to benefit Chemolingot Hospital in Tiaty Sub County. The twin projects will be done at a cost of Shs 60 Million.
The developments, which aim at enhancing the ability of the facilities to provide high-quality, reliable, and timely medical care and enhance operational efficiency, is funded by the Global Fund and will be executed in signature partnership between the County Government, the Ministry of Health and Amref Health Africa.
