The area under coffee production in Baringo increased from 2300 hectares in 2018 to 3200 hectares in 2022.The increase is attributed to strategies to promote coffee cultivation including distribution of highly subsidized seedlings and farm input as well has enhanced extension services by the County Government.

It is further incentivised by the construction and operationalization of a Coffee Mill and the ready market for Baringo Coffee in Korea. The Coffee sub-sector therefore presents investment opportunities along the entire value chain.
