The county has implemented a number of strategies to enhance milk production including investing Shs 15 Million in the promotion of the use of Artificial Insemination to improve Dairy Cow breeds, supporting dairy farmers on the enhancement of feed availability and training them on the new technologies. This also has included the enhancing of livestock disease management.

Baringo County has established a Shs 300 Million Milk Processing Plant in Eldama Ravine milk which will be an incentive to the farmers to produce more as the price is bound to go up. This initiative is
implemented through Baringo Agricultural Marketing Services Cooperative Society Limited (BAMSCOS), a Cooperative Union which was registered on 28th March 2012 with a primary membership of 22 Dairy Co-operative societies in Baringo Count
